In the year 2006, The Moncton Art Society will turn 75.  The Society has many events planned for the year.  To start it all off, a grand event was suggest to honour founding and former members of the group.

Planning sessions were held, contact with donors were made and Dale Ritchie of McKenzie College (Moncton, N.B.) provided the surroundings of the McKenzie Art Gallery to host the retrospective.  Members of the MAS planning committee provided the community liason and students and staff of McKenzie College voluntarily contributed time and expertise.

Paintings selected from 1932 - 1966 were thought to be difficult to find.  The MAS Timepieces planning committee expected to find approximately 30 paintings.  All week before the final hanging, paintings came in and at the final count there were 111 paintings in the gallery.

The evening proved to be a successful social event showcasing many works of art from the Moncton Art Society.  Several of the original founding members were in attendance.  Hosts for the evening's events were Charles Flewelling, a Past President of the Moncton Art Society, and Rachael Hébert,  1st Vice President of the Moncton Art Society.  Many artists, from Moncton and the Southeast region of New Brunswick, Fredericton, Sackville, Petiticodiac, Hillsborough, Shediac, Grand Digue attended.

Members of the planning committee were Robert Noble, President MAS, Norma Blois, Dorice Richard, Kay McCartney, Susan Lunney, Rachael Hébert, Florine Rutledge and William Brydges.  Refreshments during the reception were organized by Kay McCartney, Jere McCabe, and Ada Champion.  Archival work was provided by Wenda Lyons, Edward Legere.  Special mention for service beyond duty must be made to Roc Bourque, Ronnie Richard, and Lynn Ritchie.  Graphic services and design for Timepieces were produced by Rosalba Santori of McKenzie College.
